Work package 3 - focus groups

Focus groups to help improve the way in which non-invasive ventilation (NIV) is delivered to people with motor neuron disease (MND).

We are conducting a research project to help optimise NIV for people with MND. We have already carried out a systematic review to explore the evidence on the optimal use of NIV in people with MND and surveys to explore the current practices of delivering NIV to people with MND.

We are now moving on to the next phase. We are conducting focus groups with healthcare professionals who are involved in recommending, supporting and/or delivering NIV to people with MND and stakeholders from third-party organisations such as the MND Association. The focus group will last around 2 hours and will explore the group’s views on the research findings and how best to translate these into improved clinical practice.

The focus groups will take place in the following locations and on the following dates. To see the venues on a map please click here.
