Why support SITraN?

We are immensely grateful to all our supporters who so generously donate their time and money to support our research into MND and other neurodegenerative diseases -whether it is as an individual, a family, through collective fund raising activities or via grants from funding bodies and charities.

Your donations allow us to  fund and accelerate our research by acquiring state-of-the-art equipment and training young scientific and clinical researchers.

"For many years before Professor Pamela Shaw told me of her vision for a dedicated Motor Neurone Research Institute in Sheffield I had known of the horrors of MND, without, thankfully, having been touched by it personally. Given that I was born and spent the first part of my life in Sheffield, and that my Father had done his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University (where he was the first elected President of the Students' Union) I could see compelling reasons to support Professor Shaw - and I have no reason to change my opinion. Only if sufficient funds are "thrown at" the vile disease, will there be any chance of a cure. SITraN offers the best chance in the world."
